Tapo Rewards – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern participation in the Tapo Rewards Club (the "Program"), operated by TP-Link Canada ("TP-Link", "we", "us", "our") for the official TP-Link Tapo Store (the "Store"). By creating a customer account or otherwise participating in the Program, you ("Member", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms. We recommend reading them in full before earning or redeeming Points.

1. Program Overview

The Program offers Members exclusive benefits when shopping at the Store. Members earn Points on qualifying purchases and eligible activities, which can be exchanged for discount vouchers and other rewards. Members also progress through reward tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum) that unlock higher points-earning rates and exclusive benefits, such as seasonal vouchers and early access to new products.

2. Membership & Eligibility

2.1 If you already have a customer account with the Store, you are automatically enrolled as a Member of the Program. Simply log in to your account to access your Points.

2.2 If you do not have a customer account, you must create one via the My Account page or at checkout in order to access and manage your Points.

2.3 Membership is personal to the individual who created the account. Rewards accounts cannot be merged or combined, including where a Member holds more than one account or wishes to consolidate Points following an account change.

2.4 TP-Link reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate membership at its discretion where these Terms, the Store's general Terms of Sale, or applicable law have been breached.

3. Earning Points

3.1 Members earn Points primarily through qualifying purchases in the Store. The rate of Points earned per dollar spent depends on the Member's current reward tier.

3.2 Members may also earn Points through non-purchase activities, including but not limited to: creating an account, subscribing to the newsletter, following TP-Link on social media, providing a date of birth, and participation in the referral program described in Section 6.

3.3 TP-Link may, at its discretion, offer additional or time-limited ways to earn Points (e.g. bonus campaigns, seasonal promotions). Any such offer is governed by these Terms unless expressly stated otherwise.

3.4 TP-Link reserves the right to exclude specific products, order components (such as taxes or shipping fees), or payment methods from earning Points, and to change earning rates prospectively at its discretion.

4. Points Value & Redemption

4.0 The Program's standard points-to-dollar conversion rate is 100 Points = CAD $1.00. This rate is used consistently across the Store, checkout, and all Member communications, and is subject to change in accordance with Section 4.3.

4.1 Points may be redeemed for discount vouchers or other reward types made available by TP-Link from time to time. The current redemption value of a Member's Points balance is shown in the Member's rewards account and at checkout when a reward is available.

4.2 Points have no cash value, cannot be transferred between Members, sold, or redeemed for cash, and may only be used in accordance with these Terms.

4.3 TP-Link reserves the right to change the points-to-dollar conversion rate, redemption options, or minimum redemption thresholds at any time. Changes will apply prospectively and will not reduce the value of Points already accrued at the time of the change.

4.4 Where a Member redeems Points together with another discount, promotion, or gift card, availability of stacking is determined by the applicable offer terms shown at checkout.

4.5 Unless expressly stated otherwise in the applicable offer terms, only one (1) voucher or coupon code may be applied per order. Vouchers cannot be combined or stacked with other vouchers, and vouchers cannot be combined or stacked with coupon codes. Where a Member attempts to apply more than one voucher or coupon code to the same order, only one will be honoured at checkout, as determined by TP-Link.

5. Reward Tiers

5.1 Members progress through reward tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum) based on Points earned within the applicable qualification period.

5.2 A Member's reward tier status applies to the current calendar year and the following calendar year. For example, a Member who achieves Gold status in November of Year 1 retains Gold status until December of Year 2, after which status resets based on Points earned during Year 2.

5.3 Where an order is refunded or cancelled in accordance with Section 8, the Points earned from that order will be removed and a Member's tier status will be recalculated accordingly, which may result in a lower tier.

6. Referral Program

6.1 Members may share a personal referral link with friends. Where a referred friend completes their first order in the Store using that link, the referring Member will receive 500 Points, credited to their account once the referred friend's first order is completed.

6.2 A friend referred to the Store will receive a CAD $10 discount coupon immediately upon signing up via the referral link. This coupon cannot be combined with any other discount code or promotional offer, and its applicable terms are shown at checkout.

6.3 TP-Link reserves the right to withhold, reverse, or decline to issue a referral reward where it reasonably suspects fraud, self-referral, abuse of promotional terms, or where a referred friend's first order is subsequently refunded or cancelled.

7. Shipping for Reward Orders

7.1 Where Points are redeemed for a product reward, a free-shipping reward, or a shipping discount, the applicable shipping method, carrier options, and any shipping charge are shown at checkout prior to order completion.

7.2 Standard free-shipping thresholds (e.g. free shipping on orders over CAD $200) are calculated on the order subtotal after any Point-based discount has been applied. Redeeming Points that reduce the order subtotal below the applicable threshold will result in standard shipping charges applying to that order.

7.3 TP-Link is not responsible for delays caused by carrier service disruptions, customs processing, or incorrect address information provided by the Member.

8. Returns, Cancellations & Refunds

8.1 If a Member returns an item or cancels an order, the Points earned from that purchase will be reversed or reduced. Points will also be deducted proportionally for partial refunds arising from price adjustments. The Member's reward tier status will be adjusted accordingly.

8.2 Where the Points earned from a refunded or cancelled order have already been redeemed for a reward at the time of the return, TP-Link will reverse the corresponding number of Points from the Member's account. Where the Member's Points balance is insufficient to reverse the full amount (because some or all of the Points have already been used), TP-Link reserves the right to deduct the equivalent cash value of the shortfall from the refund otherwise payable to the Member, calculated using the Program's standard points-to-dollar conversion rate in effect at the time of the original order.

8.3 Where a cash deduction is applied under Section 8.2, TP-Link will notify the Member by email, setting out the number of Points reversed, the number of Points that could not be reversed from the account balance, the conversion rate applied, and the resulting adjustment to the refund amount.

8.4 Refunds issued as store credit do not automatically trigger removal of the associated Points. TP-Link will process the corresponding Points adjustment manually in such cases.

8.5 TP-Link reserves the right to review and restrict Program participation, including suspension of a Member's ability to earn or redeem Points, where a pattern of repeated returns or cancellations indicates possible misuse of the Program. For the avoidance of doubt, this includes, without limitation, cases where a Member completes three (3) or more full-value returns within any rolling ninety (90) day period. Any such restriction will be communicated to the affected Member.

9. Points Expiry

9.1 Points expire twelve (12) months after a Member's last purchase or points-earning activity. Any further purchase or points-earning activity within that twelve-month period extends the expiry date by a further twelve months from the date of that activity.

9.2 TP-Link may, at its discretion, notify Members by email in advance of Points expiring, but is not obligated to do so. Members are responsible for monitoring their own Points balance and expiry date via their rewards account.

10. Account Restrictions & Misuse

10.1 TP-Link reserves the right to investigate any activity it reasonably believes may involve fraud, abuse of the Program, or a breach of these Terms, including the creation of multiple accounts by the same individual, exploitation of referral or bonus mechanics, or repeated returns undertaken primarily to accumulate or exploit Points (see Section 8.5).

10.2 Where TP-Link determines that a Member has misused the Program, it may, at its discretion and depending on severity: (a) reverse the Points or rewards obtained; (b) suspend the Member's ability to earn or redeem Points for a defined period; or (c) terminate the Member's Program membership. TP-Link will provide notice of the action taken and, where reasonably practicable, an opportunity for the Member to respond before final action is taken.

11. Changes to the Program

11.1 TP-Link reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Program, or any part of it (including earning rates, redemption options, reward tiers, and these Terms), at any time and at its sole discretion.

11.2 Material changes will be communicated via the Store and/or by email to Members where reasonably practicable, and will generally take effect prospectively. Points already earned and validly held at the time of a change will not be cancelled solely as a result of that change, other than in accordance with Section 9 (Points Expiry) or Sections 8 and 10 (Returns and Misuse).

11.3 Continued participation in the Program following notice of a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. General

12.1 These Terms are supplemental to, and should be read together with, the Store's general Terms of Sale and Privacy Policy.

12.2 These Terms are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Program shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario.

12.3 For questions, concerns, or disputes relating to the Program, Members may contact TP-Link Canada at support.ca@tp-link.com.
