What a difference from my old Orbi Netgear 6, TP Link Deco Pro 7 BE17000 is a top quality mesh network and great value for money…plug the first mesh satellite straight into your ONT box, don’t use an ISP supplied router, and you’ll notice the difference in speed throughout your house…

Connectivity was quick and easy, I was able to add my existing network to the new ones expanding my coverage and I felt the speed was better. No drops as of purchase date. The connections on the back gave me the ability to add printers and direct connections to devices, tv, printers, and game consoles.

I recently switched to the TP-Link Deco BE17000 (3-pack) after using an Eero Pro 7 3-pack, and the difference has been night and day. With Eero, it felt like there was a firmware update every few days, yet I continued to experience major latency issues, especially while gaming. Random lag spikes were common, and overall network responsiveness was inconsistent. I also previously tried the Deco BE85 but had numerous issues and suspected I may have received a bad unit.So far, it appears TP-Link has corrected those problems with the BE17000. Latency is completely gone, gaming is smooth, and overall performance has been rock solid. The range is also noticeably better than my Eero system, covering my home more effectively with stronger signal throughout. This 3-pack feels like a premium mesh system at a much more reasonable value, and I would not be surprised to see it offered at Costco in the future. If you are dealing with latency or reliability issues on Eero, the Deco BE17000 has been a huge improvement in my experience.

I’m not a tech person. Last time I set up a router it was a nailbiter. This one was super easy. The more difficult part was connecting my 27 individual devices. But now my Internet speed has improved and my devices aren’t fighting each other for a connection. So glad I bought this router.

Works great, easy setup. Much improvement over my old ORBI system (10 years old!). Nice that it had the additional outdoor unit that increases our range outside of the house.

This set of TP-Link Deco 7 BE17000 are a good alternative to my aging Asus router mesh network. The setup was relatively easy. I had an issue with connection to my phone and the initial unit. I had to unplug the unit to get the correct lights/mode for setup. Once it connected, it was a painless setup procedure. The options available for the different bands were easy using the app. I would to have more options available for different settings but overall it was worth the price for a WiFi 7 mesh network. The satellite units connected to the main unit easily and the range is much better than my previous setup. I no longer have to worry about a weak connection or reconnecting the satellite units to ensure I have good coverage around my house. I am even able to be connected to my network a fair bit of distance outside of my home.

This I believe is the first review that isn’t a Vine Free Product Review for the Tp-link BE77.I purchased the BE77 after purchasing the BE67 which I stated in that review was a solid unit if you were lucky enough to get working units. I had one unit out of the 3 pack units being a dud that went offline every few hours requiring a power cycle to come back online and I ended up returning them. Deeper research led me to believe that the BE67/68 was a gamble purchase. You either got a working product or you did not. And the chances you got a faulty unit in the box was high. After returning the BE67 I decided to wait for a newer model release in hopes that Tp-link would have improved their manufacturing and quality control process.Come in the BE77. I was excited yet scared to purchase due to my previous experience. This time Amazon had removed Free International Returns which made decision even harder. What if the quality control was bad and I had to fork off $$$ for an international return.I decided to bite the bullet and make the purchase. The BE77 arrived 3 days ago. They are ever so slightly wider than the BE67 given they have 10 antennas compared to 8 in the BE67.They have been absolutely solid and were placed exactly where the BE67 were originally. What I immediately noticed was that the BE77 has full signal in wireless mesh mode compared to the BE67 placed in the same spot in high capacity mode (only using 5Ghz and 6Ghz bands for mesh). All content on all devices launch immediately and in their highest quality without buffering or any drop in media quality. Gaming has been solid.I am extremely happy with my purchase and would recommend the Tp-link BE77 to anyone looking for a solid WiFi 7 mesh system.I am now awaiting the arrival of the deco wall mounts and 12v dc extension cords on Amazon to place them more strategically in the house. The reason I didn’t try the BE63/65 was because their 2.4Ghz band did not support WiFi 7 so MLO would be limited. And I was looking at future proofing coming from a Google WiFi mesh system that served me well for 10 years. And the BE85/95 looked too bulky and power hungry.

Mesh is the way to go for me

What a difference the TP-Link Deco 7 Pro BE77 system did around the house (3200sqft bungalow). I've always had a single router (placed almost in the middle of the house) and it provided access to all the upstairs and downstairs, but near the ends of the house, performance was spotty. With this 2 pack system, I'm now getting 5Ghz signal all around the house, and with my few 6GHz devices I'm also getting much better throughput. Very Happy with these. I was sceptic of the new mesh system, but this one is very transparent when walking around the house with my phone, no cut-outs.

If you want something that just works (and works well), with minimal setup - get this.

I bought these after constant frustrations with my TP-Link Omada APs. It could just be me not setting up my network properly, but at this point, I just need a wireless network that just works and it keeps my family happy.I constantly had problems with roaming on the Omadas, but with these Deco's, the roaming issue was gone.I'm using this as an access point, as I'm running an OPNsense router. Constant strong (or medium) signal throughout the house. And for context, I live in a 2000 sq ft townhouse. One unit in the basement near the front of the house, and the other unit on the second floor near the rear of the house.Overall, my family and I are very pleased with this purchase and I can't recommend it enough!

Easy set up, solid performance, and supports 2.4 GHz IoT devices

I bought this after my ISP (Rogers) router and mesh pods showed themselves not up to the task. My doorbell cam was loading so slowly the person at the door left before I answered, my video conferencing calls were freezing, and streaming on my devices were buffering constantly. So I bridged my ISP modem/router and replaces all my Wi-Fi equipment with this 3-unit BE17000 / BE77 system. The difference is like night and day, it is as if I upgraded all the devices in my home; applications open lightning fast, performance is AMAZING. A few techie things to help you decide:My smart doorbell only supports 2.4 GHz, not the other high speed bands. The Deco has an "IoT" setting that supports these devices. You have to toggle it on in the app, then it finds those devices by itself and puts it on it. I put one Deco unit upstairs just above the front outdoor camera, garage door opener, and doorbell - it still has to go through the floor and a brick wall - it worked! The signal strength is short one bar for the doorbell and camera but when I open my video feeds on my security app I get near instant (about 1.5 seconds for the doorbell camera, 1 second for the front of the house camera) live feed. For my home office I put another unit in the office and attached my laptop to it via Ethernet port and ran a test - zero packets lost and super speed. I had a Zoom call with two other people and it went perfect, and I had multiple apps open on my PC at the same time including AI - no problems at all, streaming a 1080p web cam video feed at 60 Hz out and two outside participants in - I looked crystal clear. Since the satellites all have three Ethernet ports I also connected the printer in my office via Ethernet and now I have a network printer, no more connecting my printer to the laptop to print.I opened three SSIDs, they all can speak to each other - one "Main" connection that uses the 2.4/5/ 6Ghz radios, one "IoT" for my smart devices and one "MLO" - Multi-Link Operation for my devices that support that. MLO allows all three radios to feed one device at the same time - most older devices don't support it (it's a Wi-Fi 7 thing) but I plan on having this thing for ten years at that price, so getting a unit that has it future-proofs my setup for new devices. Despite the appearance of 3 SSIDs all the devices on my network can "see" each other, it all just magically works together in the background as one network.Since my ISP modem is bridged, the Wi-Fi in the modem that would have served the TV set top boxes is off. So one satellite is sitting beside each TV and connected to the Deco via Ethernet cable. Bridging the ISP modem stops it from sending out competing Wi-Fi signals in the home, and other back end technical conflicts that can arise between the modem and the Deo trying to do the same things. Highly recommended to bridge your modem to maximize performance. It is compliant to a couple of other specifications no one talks about in review videos - 4K-QAM and BSS-Color - they have nothing to do with televisions despite their names - they prevent your neighbor's Wi-Fi signals from competing with yours. The ports also support Cat 7 cables but that's overkill (pricey), but I did upgrade all my old Cat5 cables to Cat 6a (found a 5 pack on Amazon for cheap, make sure you buy "shielded" cables) to maximize throughout from the Deco units. The unit says it is for large houses but Wi-Fi only streams so far - the units can be connected to each other via Ethernet to basically each act as a hard line connected Wi-Fi broadcasting unit. That's really more of what they mean there, you'd still probably need to run Ethernet cables between each unit if you have a huge house.I'm pretty sure it was slightly overkill for what I needed but that's how to buy tech so it lasts - I love it, highly recommend!
