This is a great camera! Super easy to set up, install and use. It comes with 30 days free of cloud storage and the paid storage is very fairly priced.You can get cloud storage for one or multiple cameras so you don��t over pay if you only have the one and save if you have multiple. There are also 7 and 30 day plans for the storage so you can pick the length of storage they��re I��ll keep and have the option to download footage directly from the app.It has auto updates feature and you can choose the time of day or night for it to do so.It has a slot for local storage but the cloud is much more convenient (unlimited).Person detection works flawlessly, and the movement detection works even too good (it picked up a bug flying 5-6ft from the camera, picks up light changes- car headlights and you can hear a lot)The best feature that sold me on this thing besides the price was the option to talk to whomever was at the door. It is a two way radio.I have not had any problems so far with this guy, other than the fact that I had to lengthen the cable as it did not reach to the outlet I wanted to use, but you can also use an extension cable instead of being extra like me ??

Great camera in day, and once it's set to day-mode at night it works decently. Unless you do, the IR is like a deer-jackiing spotlight in a window which blinds the camera to itself at night. Also turned off the led red indicator light.After that, it picks up motion well, and sound too when it records. Neither sd card I had seemed formattable, but I am happy to store to cloud, it's cheap enough. Price was very reasonable for quality and simplicity. Images are quite clear, but do distort a tiny bit at outer edges due to wide angle.

I came here to buy this after it was ranked first in a New York Times review of security cameras. Not only did it finish first it was also the cheapest.This camera replaces a previous cheap model that has since disappeared from Amazon. That experience was maddening. Flakey and limited software, intermittent WIFI signal, constant false notifications.This camera is mounted in the same spot and connected to the WIFI instantly. The software is simple and intuitive to use. The speaker is a little poor quality but I'm using it as driveway surveillance and have no plans on using the speaker.The image is very clear and downloads are simple and flawless. I have yet to figure out how to delete files on the SD card but with a 64 GB card I had kicking around and installed, I really don't need to worry about. The Activity and Privacy Zones (areas to watch and areas to ignore) work great. I'm able to cut out the front street traffic and identify only movement in the yard and driveway. The microphone is very sensitive.What a wonderful package for such a good price. I'll likely buy a couple of their solar units for mounting high on trees to watch all my good neighbours out walking their dogs...and the rare punk looking for Ford pickups to steal.One quick picky thing for the manufacturer. Please don't tighten the screws to the SD card door so tight. It was a struggle to remove even with the perfect sized Phillips screwdriver. Other than that, great product!Update: This camera performed flawlessly for months. Then I upgraded my router to 5GHz. The previous had both 2.4 and 5. This camera runs only on 2.4 although it does not say that in the description. Ai finds the information somewhere else on the www. My camera is now dead in the water and will not communicate with my 5 GHz network. I guess I will need to buy a new camera that is rated for 5 GHz.Progress I guess :-(.

After buying and returning a Blink system, I did some research and found the Tapo cameras. I ordered them and they arrived quickly. I purchased two micro SD cards and installed them into the cameras. I downloaded the app and started the set up which was fairly simple to do as the app guides you through it. I plugged them and mounted them where I wanted them, one on our house and one on our detached garage. I was a bit worried that the garage one wouldn't work as it isn't close to our wifi box but they cameras have two little antennas that boost signals and there hasn't been an issue with connection (although the garage mounted on does have a 1 second delay compared to the house mounted one). The night vision is very good but note that in the picture I shared, half of the yard is picking up light from our yard light. You can listen and speak through the app and you'll get notifications for movement or people. You can also adjust the sensitivity for motion detection and can set up a way to avoid the camera sending notifications when your pets are walking by, but I have not used this setting. You can also use privacy mode for the times where there will be lots of motion and you don't want a pile of notifications.Ive had them up about a week now and so far am happy with them. However, we live in a climate where our winters are brutally cold (-40c) and I'm not sure how these cameras will handle that cold. I will come back to update once we've gotten through some cold days in the winter.One thing I will note is that the app can sometimes be hard to navigate. I wanted to delete recordings and it took me a while to find out where to go to do that but there is a way. Then when I went to go do it again, I couldn't remember where in the app I had gone and I haven't been able to figure it out since. The app covers many different models of cameras so it's a pretty busy app.Overall I'm really enjoying these and I love that I don't need to pay for a subscription.UPDATE: updating to share that it has been very cold in my province (-30 not factoring wind chill) and these cameras are still going strong, no issue. The only annoyance is on night vision it picks up snow falling or rain and it sends notifications of movements. I turn the camera off when this happens. Still very happy with these cameras!
