Color Smart Wi-Fi LED Bulb | Tapo L530E(4-Pack)

I absolutely love these lightbulbs. I’ve installed them all over my house. They are very power efficient so I’ve been saving money plus they’re just so pretty and you never have to decide whether you want a nice bright light bulb or a very dim kind of yellow one because it’s everything in one any color, any kind and brightness Super easy to set up too. It only took five minutes.

The TP-Link Tapo Smart Wi-Fi light bulbs are easy to set up and connect quickly to Wi-Fi without needing a hub. Bright, responsive, and simple to control through the app, they work well for everyday smart lighting and perform as expected.

Really happy with the features in the app and all the customized options you can do. The away feature is nice when you’re traveling as well

Easy to program. Works with my Google home setup for voice on/off commands.

I managed to pair the bulbs and found out how choose more than just 7 colors. It takes some effort as you need to pair one bulb at a time, and rename them (in both the alexa and tapo app) so you can ask alexa which bulb you want to work with. I have not grouped them but I think you can. To have more colors, press and hold down one of the 7 in the tapo app, and you will get an entire color palate to choose from. So far so good... you just need to be patient and get familar with connecting the apps together. Bulbs could be brighter (on the brightest setting)... other than that, I like them.

Purchased 2 bulbs in the summer, after a month bought another 2 bulbs. Just bought 2 more. These bulbs work great and I love that you can select the colour so easily, and can preset your favourite colours. The preset yellow is warm and cozy and feels like an old school incandescent bulb. The app is very simple to use. We’ve been using it in an empty home to amazing success. The app allows you to schedule on and off times as well as away mode. Away mode is my favourite feature. You select the time the mode starts and stops, you can select as many or as few days of the week that you want. The light will turn on and off randomly to create an appearance someone is home. Total upgrade from those old timer plugs we used to use. I can’t recommend this product more. So far zero issues. It’s really simple, and if you want to use the Tapo cameras as well, they are also in the same app. Love that a hub isn’t required. The app also allows you to name each bulb (and camera)

Easy to set up with the app

I’ve used a lot of different smart lights over the years and these Tapo lights are by far and above my favourites. They arrived very late at night on a snowy day and within 20-30 minutes, I had all four of them up and running. Very easy to set up. The app is really good, very intuitive and if you need help online, it’s very easy to find. You also don’t have to use the Alexa app to link the skill to your Tapo account - the TP-Link app does it for you instantaneously. And all four lights in their group come on at exactly the same time, unlike the previous ones I am throwing out. The other cool thing about the app is that it also integrates all your Kasa bulbs so you don’t need to keep the Kasa app. Just be sure your user name and password match in both apps when you link them. I am definitely going to buy a lot more of the bulbs.

I honestly love the lights are just not sure if you’re actually saving money

Have 8 of these. Colours are good, and they dim from full 60w equiv down to a bare glow. Easily paired with alexa and google. Even better pairing with Home Assistant for LAN-only operation. Can be configured easily with the app which itself is quick and stable. I have several other items from them with similar fluidity. Latencies are low. Compared to most others in the price-class, they were the simples and best overal. These are my standard bulbs now.

Compatible with Alexa. Works on iPhone as well but you will have to download a separate application. Doesn’t connect directly to the iPhone Home app.

My only real concern was whether these bulbs could be used as a regular bulb as well as a smart device. If my daughters left the lights on at home while I was at work, and I turned the lights off remotely, could the lights be turned back on locally without me being present? The answer is YES! (As long as you have the bulbs configured to do as such, which can be done through the Tapo app.)Pairing is simple, and the bulbs can be controlled individually or as a group through the app. One annoying thing, is trying to set the bulbs to an exact white temperature. The app has a slider switch that goes from 2500k to 6500k. There are a few presets that allow for a quick adjustment, but when I tried to make all the bulbs 3000k, it took some precision moments and some patience. But this is honestly a minor issue, as it's nearly impossible to tell the difference between 2984k and 3005k.All in all, these bulbs are absolutely worth the money!

I’m leaving my review as as “for now” one as I always hear stories about these smart lights becoming a hassle after several months. But for now I’d recommend them to anyone that is looking to upgrade their home and make it smart. I have mine connected to Alexa and it works flawlessly, installation was a breeze and connecting to other devices was pretty easy as well. You can adjust the brightness and colour and make your own custom style and how and when they will turn on. Will update review down the road if anything goes wrong.

The bulbs were easy to set up and connect to my home Wi-Fi network, and I was able to control them with my voice using Alexa. The range of colors available was impressive, with 16 million options to choose from, and I appreciated the ability to dim the bulbs to my liking. But was disappointed to learn that they only connect to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks.Overall, I would recommend the TP-Link Tapo Smart Wi-Fi Light Bulbs, 16M Colors RGBW, to anyone looking to add smart lighting to their home.
