2K 3MP Indoor Wired Camera | Tapo C110

Great little camera so far. Very clear image, sensitive mic (maybe a little too sensitive!).I have set it up on the front inside window sill, aimed toward the front door. I am limited by location of outlets and windows, but this should work well for me.I don’t need to talk to anyone at my door, so the speaker and mic aren’t of any real use to me most of the time. I can turn the mic on and off as needed so if I opt to use it to scan the inside of the house when I am traveling, I can turn everything on.My only real problem was with the setup. The manufacturers work on the assumption that EVERYONE uses Alexa…. I do not. The app for iOS looks different than what is described in the manual (which is actually not too bad) so I worked by experience and what seemed to be a logical progressionThe cloud storage option is a pretty decent deal - $31 for a year of cloud storage, plus it enables other options (I believe)So pretty pleased so far. Probably pick up another to monitor the back deck through the back windows.

Let's talk camera abuse. My birdbath was empty every morning and I was wondering what was happening. I had one of these little indoor cameras sitting on the shelf for another project, so I thought, let's try it outdoors for a night or two.Taped over the SD card slot, zip tied it to a tree and ran an extension cord. Turned out it was deer coming in for a drink every night. Left the camera up to get more video of them. Then it rained, and the camera still worked. Then more heavy rains, still working. Six months later, still working! At that point, I decided to run it until failure. We're now at -25c overnight with blowing snow. Yep, still working. I'll try to update this review if / when it fails.Why four stars? Because Tapo. All their cameras have a washed out picture and very little control of the video settings. While they're cheap and durable enough, the video quality at their top bitrate is worse than a Hikvision at a much lower bitrate. Tapo is good "for the price", but if you can spend more than $100, there are better brands out there.Update: Still going strong after weeks of -40 temperatures. One other thing I didn't mention. This is connected to the wifi inside the house about 100' away.

Easy to use. Good image quality

Absolutely amazing camera. Placed it in my house front window and it caught two porch pirates in the second week of owning it. Based on the video clip of the theft, I was able to download the clip and send it to the police and they arrested the suspects down the road a couple minutes after the theft.If you’re looking for a little piece of mind and some justice, buy this camera.(Just note the night mode causes some window reflection but the camera still works great at night even in low light conditions in day mode).

Very easy setup. Quite impressive product especially like it has micro SD card slot to save on having a subscription to a service. Overall very happy with it .

The camera has all of the function we want. The mic is sometimes not that clear on picking up sound, and there is an annoying red light that I had to find a way to deal with that I couldn't turn off for night. Also, there is no PC app which I find very unfortunate as my previous camera, which is no longer supported, had a camera app that worked well without an emulator.

4.5/5It has a little trouble with light sources during the day/evening and it would be nice if the auto clip recording wasn't restricted to tapo care but otherwise its pretty good. Night vision is quite good too. Motion detection is nice as is the ability to view it from anywhere I am. Set up was very easy too, pretty much anyone should be able to do it without difficulty.

You're not tied to their protocol so you can use this camera with your home assistant and it works just great. That's the best. Records 24/7 with the help of a SD card or you can buy their subscription. I love this camera. Images are sharp and clear.

Very satisfied with this Tapo security camera. Simple installation, stable Wi-Fi connection and sharp video. I’ve ordered it several times already for different rooms. Solid choice for home monitoring.

C100 and C110What I like is 1. The price is quite reasonable for the features and quality. 2. Video quality is good and smooth even when watching live away from home (C100 seems not as good as C110). 3. There is a few seconds (~5 seconds) buffer recording/pre-recording captured before the actual object detected in motion. 4. Mltiple motion monitor zones. 5. Low light video quality is good. 6. Setup was easy.What I don't like is 1. The video recording length too long, ie even after the moving object is gone or stopped the video is still recording for another 2 min or so, I would say 30 seconds more video recording is more than enough after no more motion is detected, ideally, configurable max length of video clip. 2. Multiple monitor zone is a great for a camera with this price but the zone can only be configured in rectangular shape and can't be rotated, not flexible at all, other brand name camera allow mulitple monitor zone in six point flexible hexagonal shape which is much more ideal and practical.3. Night mode is no good at all, can't see anything further than 6 feet, not the described 30 ft. ie. unable to see nor detect any motion from 6 ft or over in night mode. (Having said that, it is the night mode in complete dark environment which rely on the ifra red that is no good, it still works okay if there is dim light / low light around by simply using the day mode).I like the Tapo camera except some of the features and capability, I am still checking other Tapo camera model to see if there is one suits my needs.

I've been very happy with this camera. Setup in the Tapo app was quick and easy, and the 2K video quality is noticeably sharper than basic 1080p cameras. The night vision works well indoors, and motion notifications are reliable. The two-way audio is clear enough for checking in on family members or pets, and I like having the option to record locally to a microSD card instead of paying for a subscription. The camera also includes privacy mode, motion alerts, and a sound/light alarm.I previously purchased the outdoor Tapo C410 and had a good experience with it, so adding this indoor model was an easy choice. Both cameras work seamlessly within the same app, making it simple to monitor everything in one place. Great value for the price and a solid addition to a home security setup.
