Was only able to get one so far, but it works really well!Have a bit of gap between them, the magnet side sticks out about 0.5in further from the sensor, no issues.Buy extra batteries if you live near a lot of smart meters. Interference on 900 MHz kills battery quickly.

I just wanted something I could use to monitor when my doors were opened and closed when I was away without having to use some centralized alarm service, and these do the job perfectly. Easy to set up too.

HW works well, setting up the SW is a pain. The app needs to become simpler to set up the device. Other devices such as cameras have a simpler setup. A simple task like sending a message when actuated is simply a task for nerves of steel.

Very good sensors, I installed on my patio door, garage entry & front door. App & hub are easy to f configure. Able to setup with TP-link light switches so after dusk when door opens it turns on the lights at the door. Also able to set alert if doors are left open, you can even control the time limit for response.

These work great and after a year of use I have only changed batteries once. I use them with Home Assistant via integration

It was so simple.I created an automation so that if a door sensor goes off in the night, my Tapo smart hub sounds an alarm. It's a great theft deterrent and works every time.These are the ones. I installed it on a door, but it would work just as well on windows, or cabinets.One suggestion: customizable notification tones — especially for users managing multiple sensors.

I have other Tapo devices, and like them for the price point. We had an issue with the teenagers leaving the freezer door open and defrosting everything. Installed this sensor and set to alarm at full blast for 10 minutes straight if the freezer door is left open. Will keep the teenagers from being lazy.

Once installed correctly, they work reliably and integrate well with my other TP-Link smart home devices.The biggest thing to be aware of is that the sensor and magnet need to line up properly.
