The camera can be mounted on the wall with the included wall mount plate or set on a shelf. The camera is made with unremarkable plastic and feels quite ordinary. Plug-in power adapter cord is over 3 meters long and can easily reach an available power outlet. With sufficient light, the streaming video is very colorful and clear. The night vision captures video with very low light and is streamed in black and white that is very clear and surprisingly bright.The camera offers tremendous features:? Pan and Tilt? 2k Zoom? 2-way communication? Lively night visionThe set up is incredibly easy and fast. One of the best features is the Android and Apple mobile App where the user interface is very intuitive and straight forward for camera control, viewing and voice communication. The Tapo��s App loads very quickly as compared to our Nest Cameras (Doorbell and exterior driveway), which are much slower even with excellent WiFi connection. The Tapo��s App will support multiple devices and cameras, which can be custom named based on its location. A tremendous feature is that the app has the ability to support multiple video streams on one screen. The App has many features that we can customize based on our needs.Given the extremely positive experience with the Tapo system, we are in the process of replacing our Nest Doorbell Camera as it keeps failing when it goes below -15��C. The Tapo��s Camera will accept up to a 512GB Micro SD card even though the description indicates 256GB. The 256GB micro SD card will hold about 384 hours (or 2 weeks) of video, depending on activity and camera resolution that is being recorded. The video on the Micro SD card can be downloaded and saved onto your mobile device or personal cloud storage. You can subscribe to Tapo��s cloud service for video storage, which is relatively expensive for multiple devices.There is No Computer (Windows 11 or Apple) access to Tapo's camera, only Android or Apple Mobile App access to camera. This is not an issue for our household, but if computer access is a must, a different video solution should be considered.The value to price for the camera is exceptional | Strong buy recommendation.The ?? Nice clear video at night and in the day. WiFi seems a lot better than previous unit I had before (QB320, Toaioho, Cloudedge App) Tapo app way better than previous Cloudedge I used before. You can set one button push for which direction you want the camera to point. Rotates fast when using your predetermined points. Set up is ok, not the easiest using my iphone but got the job done, just follow along. Set up the camera in house on a table before you venture outside to mount on house or pole. App works fast on my iphone and seems reliable since I got this camera a few days ago. Seems to pick out people and objects well, maybe too well? Only issue I had is the wind shakes the camera part easily which can give false positives and shaky video. Mine is on a fairly exposed pole. So far I like the unit and app, but we will see about windy conditions part.

Deuxi��me d��faut: Depuis que je l��ai acheter j��ai profit�� de l��enregistrement gratuit sur Cloud pour 30 jours, un moment donn��, la cam��ra �� perdu le signal r��seau durant plusieurs heures. Aucun moyen de communiquer avec la cam��ra et n��enregistrait aucune vid��o dans le Cloud, qui est tr��s ennuyeux quand cela arrive. Par contre, �� ma grande surprise, elle a enregistr�� quand m��me les ��v��nements durant le manque de r��seau sur ma carte micro sd. D��o�� l��importance de cette carte m��me avec l��abonnement au cloud. J��ai remarqu�� que la cam��ra semble pas toujours enregistrer des ��v��nements dans le cloud, il ya des manques. L��application est bien faite et facile d��utilisation, Faut seulement apprendre et faire les ajustements selon nos besoins comme le choix de l��emplacement qui est crucial. Excellent Products, Outstanding Customer ServiceAfter starting with a competitive (and yes, cheaper) competitor's camera, I decided to try Tapo because I have several TP-Link devices and a WiFi router already installed in my house, and they have performed flawlessly.Good decision!My first Tapo camera choice was a wired C510W, which I wanted for our front porch, This Pan/Tilt camera is very well constructed, and easy to install. (Tapo even provided an extra screw. Who hasn't had a dropped/lost screw turn an easy install into an unfinished nightmare?) Once installed and connected, it worked almost exactly as expected, and provided excellent video.One minor shortcoming is that the "person detect" function applies some sort of AI processing after the camera has detected motion, so you cannot easily limit recordings only to people. Turning on motion detection means capturing any movement first, and then post-processing to see if people were captured. Generated lots of recordings without people in my case. Still, really great camera controls and filters and settings to help minimize false event recording, which I did eventually master. Good notification tools and easy controls and access to review recorded video without wasting a lot of time searching. EXCELLENT camera!Another good indication of the company's thinking is the web-based optional service provided free for the first month with the camera purchase. When the one-month trial ends, the service is terminated by default (!), so you are not automatically enrolled in the service with recurring costs every month. Easy to subscribe and keep it going, of course.My second camera was a fully wireless C425 with an integrated PIR motion detector to specifically identify and capture people or pets, to monitor comings and goings of animals in our back yard.Again, easy to install and connect, and again, a spare screw for the fumble-fingered amon us. The PIR makes recording of animals and people a breeze. The battery life is very good so far, although I have a lot of squirrels in the yard, so the camera wakes up often. Still, after three weeks of recording squirrels abd rabbits, the battery is still at 83%, more than meeting my expectations.Totally satisfied with the PIR funcionality and the camera features overall. Another W=EXCELLENT camera.As a final note, Tapo's customer service has been simply outstanding. Quick, knowledgable, relevant responses, and an obvious commitment to customer satisfaction make this arguably the best company I've ever dealt with when it comes to customer support.This review is uncompensated, and posted to each of the two cameras mentioned.

I bought this one for my balcony to watch my dogs when I��m out and they are using the balcony. It��s always exposed to the sun and rain, and it still works fine.It��s a 2K camera, but I��m not using it for security, although the video quality looks good to me. I��ve had an overall good experience with Tapo cameras. They are well made, reasonably priced, and, in my opinion, great for monitoring your dogs and home when you��re out.I wish they would add a physical shutter for privacy mode. They have a software-only privacy mode that stops the video feed from streaming, but it��s not physical.All of their products are compatible with the Home Assistant environment, and you can get an RTSP stream for local-only viewing without the feed going through the cloud.Overall, I��m happy with Tapo cameras.
