If the object moves quickly the camera will not be able to capture the motion as it moves.2. The Rotation is loud you can hear it from a distance.3. No person or image tagging

I bought this one for my balcony to watch my dogs when I��m out and they are using the balcony. It��s always exposed to the sun and rain, and it still works fine.It��s a 2K camera, but I��m not using it for security, although the video quality looks good to me. I��ve had an overall good experience with Tapo cameras. They are well made, reasonably priced, and, in my opinion, great for monitoring your dogs and home when you��re out.I wish they would add a physical shutter for privacy mode. They have a software-only privacy mode that stops the video feed from streaming, but it��s not physical.All of their products are compatible with the Home Assistant environment, and you can get an RTSP stream for local-only viewing without the feed going through the cloud.Overall, I��m happy with Tapo cameras.

Nice clear video at night and in the day. WiFi seems a lot better than previous unit I had before (QB320, Toaioho, Cloudedge App) Tapo app way better than previous Cloudedge I used before. You can set one button push for which direction you want the camera to point. Rotates fast when using your predetermined points. Set up is ok, not the easiest using my iphone but got the job done, just follow along. Set up the camera in house on a table before you venture outside to mount on house or pole. App works fast on my iphone and seems reliable since I got this camera a few days ago. Seems to pick out people and objects well, maybe too well? Only issue I had is the wind shakes the camera part easily which can give false positives and shaky video. Mine is on a fairly exposed pole. So far I like the unit and app, but we will see about windy conditions part.

Works pretty good, survives Canadian winters, the only consistent issue I have is that the local storage with an SD card never works properly for long. It might work correctly for a bit but then it stops recording motion events and letting me watch the recording correctly. Maybe it's the SD cards I'm drawing but they had good reviews on Amazon ? Still a decent value for just the camera if you don't care about reliable local recording. The other option is to pay for their cloud storage plan, which costs $90 USD per year for up to 5 cameras with 7 days of storage.

This is a 2.5 ghz camera only, does not work on 5 ghz. Other than that, its work really good and is easy to setup. Install an microSD card to record your own footage for easy monitoring.

Everything is perfect except the field of watching not wide enough.

Set up was a tad tricky for an unknown reason, the units wifi connection process took far too long and I'll share what you need to keep in mind.1. Turn off any vpn you may have going or pause it for 15-minutes, I didn't do this and it was a big factor.2. Even tho it states 2.4 or 5g, connect to this to your 2.4 network or create a guest network specifically for this as I do for my devices.3. If you can give priority in your wifi system to this over your other devices, do so it helps.4. Even after a successful connection it still took approx. 3-4 minutes to work properly, allow the app to process, connect and then reactivate your vpn only after a full connection.The app is ok, was a tad laggy initially however now it's fine and of course depends solely on the interference from other wifi networks. I moved one of our pods in our mesh system closer to the front door and I've had zero issues now with our security system.Overall sound is ok, the real gem is the tilt/pan/rotate featureNOTE: you will need to dial in your sensitivity A LOT. This camera picks up leave or branch movement on a mild breeze and you will get inundated with notifications as well

Excellent Products, Outstanding Customer ServiceAfter starting with a competitive (and yes, cheaper) competitor's camera, I decided to try Tapo because I have several TP-Link devices and a WiFi router already installed in my house, and they have performed flawlessly.Good decision!My first Tapo camera choice was a wired C510W, which I wanted for our front porch, This Pan/Tilt camera is very well constructed, and easy to install. (Tapo even provided an extra screw. Who hasn't had a dropped/lost screw turn an easy install into an unfinished nightmare?) Once installed and connected, it worked almost exactly as expected, and provided excellent video.One minor shortcoming is that the "person detect" function applies some sort of AI processing after the camera has detected motion, so you cannot easily limit recordings only to people. Turning on motion detection means capturing any movement first, and then post-processing to see if people were captured. Generated lots of recordings without people in my case. Still, really great camera controls and filters and settings to help minimize false event recording, which I did eventually master. Good notification tools and easy controls and access to review recorded video without wasting a lot of time searching. EXCELLENT camera!Another good indication of the company's thinking is the web-based optional service provided free for the first month with the camera purchase. When the one-month trial ends, the service is terminated by default (!), so you are not automatically enrolled in the service with recurring costs every month. Easy to subscribe and keep it going, of course.My second camera was a fully wireless C425 with an integrated PIR motion detector to specifically identify and capture people or pets, to monitor comings and goings of animals in our back yard.Again, easy to install and connect, and again, a spare screw for the fumble-fingered amon us. The PIR makes recording of animals and people a breeze. The battery life is very good so far, although I have a lot of squirrels in the yard, so the camera wakes up often. Still, after three weeks of recording squirrels abd rabbits, the battery is still at 83%, more than meeting my expectations.Totally satisfied with the PIR funcionality and the camera features overall. Another W=EXCELLENT camera.As a final note, Tapo's customer service has been simply outstanding. Quick, knowledgable, relevant responses, and an obvious commitment to customer satisfaction make this arguably the best company I've ever dealt with when it comes to customer support.This review is uncompensated, and posted to each of the two cameras mentioned.

Premier d��faut: Lorsque la t��te articul��e de la cam��ra poursuit un mouvement important quel d��tecte, il est possible d����tre tout un coup distraite par autre chose de moins important comme un chat ou un chien etc. Mais cette fonction demeure int��ressante malgr�� ce d��tail. Deuxi��me d��faut: Depuis que je l��ai acheter j��ai profit�� de l��enregistrement gratuit sur Cloud pour 30 jours, un moment donn��, la cam��ra �� perdu le signal r��seau durant plusieurs heures. Aucun moyen de communiquer avec la cam��ra et n��enregistrait aucune vid��o dans le Cloud, qui est tr��s ennuyeux quand cela arrive. Par contre, �� ma grande surprise, elle a enregistr�� quand m��me les ��v��nements durant le manque de r��seau sur ma carte micro sd. D��o�� l��importance de cette carte m��me avec l��abonnement au cloud. J��ai remarqu�� que la cam��ra semble pas toujours enregistrer des ��v��nements dans le cloud, il ya des manques.
